? Leaders who quietly quit neglect duties, avoid difficult conversations, and only act when failure is imminent.
? This causes burnout, distrust, and disengagement within the team.
? Solutions include assigning mission-driven tasks, open communication, collaborative goal setting, and seeking new challenges to reignite leadership's passion and impact.
When Leaders ask "how they can help", give them a mission driven task. Rolling up their sleeves and experiencing front line impact may reconnect their passion and purpose.
When Leadership Quietly Quits
Signifcant consequences can be caused by a subtle shift.
Leaders who quietly quit start small.
They skip team meetings.
Their core responsibilities? Delegated to untrained or overwhelmed direct reports.
Tough conversations are non existent.
They focus solely on what feels good at the moment. Only doing the real work when failure is imminent.
The effect? Ripples of burnout, overwhelm, lack of trust, and disengagement spreads like a virus.
Motivation and team morale cliff dive. Tactics and operation come to a stand still. Risk taking declines. No one wants to innovate. An epidemic of disengagement spreads, becoming the new culture.
