I believe that all those with professional connections of more than 200 people are men and women of influence, impact and a determined commitment that will make a difference.
In particular,I believe that with their professional excellence, ethical leadership and deliberate commitment, we can collectively create a positive environment for the sustainable creation of wealth in Africa from the resource of the continent and for the greatest benefit of the people of Africa.
I called upon all my contacts to help promote the better governance of enterprise so as to enhance the competitive, performance and sustainable excellence of business enterprises in Africa.
Unfortunately, it still appears as if we in Africa are content to remain the hewers of wood and drawers of water, the manual workers, and suppliers of raw materials for the enrichment of others outside the continent. We have not yet learned how to raid by trade.
Hence - Will Africa have to wait until the next century to claim her rightful position in the Global economy? Did you know that more than 16.7% of the global population that lives on more than 20.4% of the land area of the world share less than 3.6% of the wealth of the world?
What are you doing to make that difference?

6 年I agree Karugor Gatamah with your analytics, that yes as citizens we have played a part in the mess we are in today. But Harmon Okinyo said that "The people with ideas have no power and the people with power have no ideas" When their is no political goodwill or corporations assistance, their is very little the common mwananchi can do. Years of continued political illeteracy and political myths doctrines like (mtu wetu) makes the people easy pawns for political manipulation

6 年Th late Hon. Shikuku once asked me - "who is to blame when we elect thieves, idiots or incompetent leaders? What have you done to promote ethical and visionary leadership?" I guess the truth is we each have played our part in enhancing inefficiency, greed, corruption and decadence!
