Recently one of my client request was accepted by Elon Musk and I also received a friendship request from Brigette Hyacinth, she is the Author of Leading the Workforce of the Future, Keynote Speaker. She has over 43+ Lakh followers. All that happened with a bit-by-bit development in my profile. I am yet to improve a lot for sure but you can see the power LinkedIn has for all of us.

Until 2021, I was using LinkedIn as another social media platform to connect with each others. Recently I signed up for a LinkedIn mastery with Mr. Nikhil Misra Jee and got to know a lot of interesting things. I see a lot of my connections who can do wonders are still using LinkedIn like me.

I would like to share the points I learned during our conversation so that you should also take charge to build a personal brand on LinkedIn. In case you have any other pro-tips please do add them in the comment section for all of us .

Expert: LinkedIn has given us so many features to showcase ourself better like the Cover photo, Profile Video, Profile headline, Notification (bell-bottom), About us, Featured post (3+ posts), Skills, Endrocement, Recommendations, etc

Me : Yes indeed, even many aren't aware that you can add 30,000 members for free.

Let us use this as a checklist and please add done in the comment section once your checklist is 80% complete.

LinkedIn Tips

1. Cover Photo: Use it for showing credibility | Vision / Mission?

2. Profile Photo: Smiling photo with the best color combination

3. 120 words about us - I help (client details) to (transform / .....) into (outcome/ ...........) | all possible keywords

4. Location: Metro City (We need to be on the top search list, if we place some normal city we may end up losing the chance of getting the right opportunity)

5. Call to action link: I want to book a call | Connect me here

6. Top 5 keywords: Providing services

7. Top 3 posts in features article: Book a call | case study | High engagement post/ebook

8. About section: My journey, Share outcome/result | How I can help you?

9. Experience: Add success | key skills | overall impact | photos if possible

10. Post : Template based post + 8-10 hashtags

11. Have the default button as follows by using creator mode.

Relations Building

1. Follow & Notification ON for the top 5 people in your industry

2. Add a valuable comment in their post

3. Like another 5 people in the post

4. Send them a connect request if you see them as a potential client
