Leaders Are Shaped.

Leaders are shaped. They are shaped by swinging the axe over and over again.

We tend to rationalize why certain people who are successful were just born that way while excluding our ability to rise to their height. While I know there are people who were gifted with leadership abilities - far too many are not as fortunate - yet over time you can be shaped into a leader

2 thoughts to help shape you on your way:

1. 1. Says who? As you climb no doubt you will be faced with critics, haters, doubters and skeptics. When people say you can't make it, you're not good enough, you'll fail, you shouldn't do that business, that you won't succeed - you need to answer that in your head with "says who?" The person in the drivers seat is you - not them. The person who has the passion, heart, soul, effort, grit and vision is you - not them. The number one person you are facing day in and day out is you. Ignore others - fight for what you believe in - fight for what you're passionate about - fight to bring a vision to life - fight for something bigger than yourself. You can't make it.....really?....says who?
2. Swing the Axe again... We tend to make the mistake of expecting the victory right away. We want the win, the success, the trophy - NOW - but the reality is that it will take time, effort, dedication, resilience and consistent effort. Instead of going for the win right away - go after the next move - you're next step. Make the one extra call; follow up with one more person; make one more piece of content; put in 1 extra minute of work; listen to one more audio; overcome 1 more set back. If you can keep picking up the axe and develop the strength and perseverance to keep swinging and focus just on the next swing - the next swing - the next swing - eventually you'll knock down even the biggest tree ??

Leaders are shaped every minute of every day -
