Leaders Read#23

From today's book: Goethe put it this way: "Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is; treat a man as he can and should be, and he will become as he can and should be."

?? Hello everyone,

Here are a couple of posts you might have missed:

?? Book Summary:

This week's book is "Principle-Centered Leadership " by Stephen Covey

Covey's book "Principle-Centered Leadership" builds upon the success of his bestseller, "7 Habits of Highly Effective People," by emphasizing the significance of leading by example. Leadership entails setting the right direction and ensuring our efforts align with our goals. On the other hand, management is concerned with efficiency and how quickly we can achieve our objectives.

One of my favorite take away from the book is this:

"Abundance Mentality. There is plenty out there for everybody. This abundance mentality flows from a deep sense of personal worth and security. It results in sharing recognition, profits, and responsibility. It opens up creative new options and alternatives. It turns to joy and fulfillment outward. It recognizes unlimited possibilities for positive interaction, growth, and development."

? Actionable advice:

As a leader, it is important to remember that there is plenty to go around. Don't get caught up in the daily stress. You need to detach; you need to look out for your team. And you do that by utilizing the essence of effective leadership, practicing patience, gentleness, kindness, and integrity. Stepping aside and making space for others to shine is a hallmark of a leader with an abundance mindset.
