Leaders Need Strong Delegation Skills
Don't Let Ineffective Delegation Drag You Down

Leaders Need Strong Delegation Skills

According to the Harvard Business Review (November 2016 issue), when a hiring manager does a reference check and asks about the candidate’s weaknesses—the things he/she needs to work on –

... delegation is one of the top 10 weaknesses -- #6 to be exact.

This doesn’t surprise me. When I talk with leaders about their developmental needs, the topic of delegation is part of the conversation nine out of 10 times.

Leadership is getting the work done through others. There is no other way to accomplish the workload but to delegate. It seems as though we think of delegation as an assumed skill; everyone should be able to do it. This is just not true. Delegation is a skill that is developed through systematic practice.

Take time to hone this much-needed skill. When others talk about your leadership abilities, delegation will be a strength, not a weakness.

Develop your leaders' delegation skills. Offer the 2-Way Delegation half-day course to your organizational leaders. Sustain the learning with the delegation app.
