Leaders Need A Coach More Than Ever!

Leaders Need A Coach More Than Ever!

“It’s just that I’m so busy” the leader said. Oh, if I had $100 for every time I heard that, I could have retired much earlier.

Today’s leaders and emerging leaders are often player managers with individual responsibilities that make it harder to be a true leader and developer of talent. The squeeze of getting more out of each person and frankly, each hour has led businesses to task leaders with a multitude of tasks and has destroyed effective development down line.

At the highest levels, it is even more problematic. Tasked with community obligations, endless meetings, reports, analysis, and decision making; the highest leaders often report that developing their staff takes a back seat.

Common to the higher levels but also quite common at all levels is the idea that it is not safe to humbly be open about gaps, deficiencies, or mistakes. After all, the boss is the one who evaluates your performance and subsequently impacts your money. Making oneself vulnerable when you have risen to such a high level is often believed to be a sign of weakness which is truly sad, but more common than we’d like to think.

Finding a professional coach allows time away from the whirlwind of the day job. You can hit the pause button and revisit priorities, strategies and all the things that get kicked down the road due to being a firefighter or suffering death by meetings. You can safely discuss important actions that are currently missing or deficient in a supportive yet accountable relationship.

When you find a trusted coach, you will experience an opportunity to slow things down and see the World as it really is. You can explore ideas, challenge the status quo, and reveal blockers to taking actions you need and want to take. You can count on honestly, identify options and actions, re-prioritize, and establish accountability. That last one is a big one and one that is hard to achieve when relationships also carry judgment and evaluation that impact your livelihood.

A professional coaching relationship is a safe place, yet also a non-BS zone when done right.

"When the coaching relationship is done well, the return on investment is better than anything else you might choose in terms of developing yourself."

Leaders regularly pay thousands for a course that renders little action. Why not try a new, personalized, proven approach.

The World’s top CEO’s all have them...why shouldn’t you?
