LEADERS KNOW THAT QUITTING IS NEVER AN OPTION, REGARDLESS OF THE PERILS FACED

LESSON: Leaders must periodically stop, take stock, and have extreme appreciation for their lives, most importantly when in the middle of an incredible storm. This realization that, “Hell, even if I didn’t live another day, I have lived an amazing story which most of the world never gets to enjoy.” Herein, more power and strength are realized.

The below lesson is an excerpt from my recently released Amazon #1 Best Seller, When Not If: A CEO's Guide to Overcoming Adversity, Forbes Books, 2024.

I have so many more lessons and hard-earned wisdom I wish to give business leaders and people facing challenges which seem insurmountable, but this blog post ends the lessons I was able to pack into our book WHEN NOT IF, in which I had the pleasure to partner with the great writer, John Kador, and the great business leader, Brian Raduenz.

I am incredibly thankful to John, Brian, Ashleigh, Cole, Charlene, Linda, Bill, and little Carleigh for giving me the motivation to get through that Herculean project, but more so for the love which gave me the energy and drive to keep going through a never-ending hurricane/tornado - not sure what’s the right metaphor – of what has been my last 15 years.

Even with the hundreds of mistakes laid bare for the readers in these blogs and newsletters, I have come through this challenge with miracles, blessings, and providence, which could have never been imagined.

I am healthy, happy, and focused on building another mission of significance. I, now, only work on projects in which I believe I can have a tremendous impact, and I only work with people I love.

My family is thriving, I am making progress on restoration for so many, and I believe this journey has made me wiser, stronger, and more compassionate. My new morning prayer asks the universe to help me make the right decisions today, to spread love and compassion, and to give others hope and inspiration. This is my mission. I am an incredibly lucky man.
