Inchcape to roll out Tekion DMS across dealerships

Automotive giant Inchcape is shaking up the industry by rolling out Tekion's new cloud-based digital management system across their UK dealerships. This news came late in February, but it is one that I will watch with keen interest as it unfolds. By exploring newer, modern software technology, Inchcape is blazing a trail away from the so-called traditional DMS companies and showing that they understand contemporary automotive success relies on being comfortable with change. Their initial trials of Tekion in the UK could be essential in paving the way for new software partners to enter the automotive space.

The automotive industry is embracing new technologies to remain competitive and successful, and this move towards Tekion's cloud-based DMS is an excellent example of that. By introducing the latest technologies from other industries, such as software technology, the automotive sector can benefit from best practices and strategies elsewhere. This progressive attitude to modernising and developing the drive will help it keep pace with the competition and ensure that its processes remain efficient and effective. Ultimately, this will increase productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. With Inchcape's bold move towards embracing Tekion's cloud-based technology, they are setting the trend in the automotive sector and paving the way for other companies to follow.

Lookers ramps up mobile repair network across the UK

Automotive success is at the heart of Lookers' decision to ramp up their mobile repair network across the UK by adding ten vans to the twenty they added last year. With busy lives sorting out car repairs can often be a hassle, but with Lookers now offering on-the-spot fixes, our lives just got that lot easier. Not only are they providing excellent customer service, but they are also finding an additional revenue stream for themselves - win-win! The sheer convenience of this new system is why it is expected to continue growing and looks set to be a long-term success.

UK to see influx of Chinese cars pushing down EV prices

Automotive markets across the globe have been taking note of the Chinese car firms' success, particularly about electric vehicles (EVs). With prices up to 30-50% lower than their competition, there is no doubt that a surge of Chinese cars will enter the UK market very soon. This could be seen as both a blessing and a curse for traditional manufacturers. On the one hand, Chinese cars' sheer volume and competitiveness might drive down the prices of all cars in general, leading to cheaper EVs. On the other hand, they may also suffer from stiffer competition. Nevertheless, there's little doubt that this influx of low-priced cars could provide great opportunities for shoppers who are looking for cheaper alternatives without sacrificing quality--just another win for the consumer!

The days are getting lighter. Use this to your benefit.

Now that the days are getting longer and the sun is staying out longer, it's a great time of year to take advantage of all the health benefits of spending time outdoors. We all know how good we feel after being outside in natural light, and now more than ever there’s no excuse not to get your daily dose! Natural light is incredibly important for our health and wellbeing; it helps regulate hormones, promotes better sleep, improved mood, boosts energy levels and even sharpens memory. So if you’re feeling a little sluggish or need something to lift your mood then getting some fresh air and natural light could be exactly what you need!

5 benefits of natural light and what you can do to gain the benefits:

1) Improved Mood: Natural light helps to regulate the hormones that control our emotions such as serotonin and melatonin. Going for a walk outside in natural light or spending more time outdoors can dramatically improve your mood and reduce feelings of depression and anxiety.

2) Boosted Energy Levels: Sunlight helps regulate our 24-hour circadian rhythm and provides an energy boost. Spending time outdoors in natural light can help to combat fatigue and improve alertness throughout the day.

3) Strengthened Immune System: Natural light helps to strengthen the immune system by increasing Vitamin D levels in the body, which are essential for good health. Spending at least 20 minutes a day outside in natural light can help boost your Vitamin D levels and keep you healthy all year round.

4) Improved Sleep: Natural daylight helps reset our circadian rhythm, so getting as much exposure as possible during the day is important. This will help you to fall asleep faster at night, stay asleep for longer and wake up feeling more rested and energized.

5) Sharper Memory: Natural light helps to improve our cognitive functions and can even help us retain information better. Spending time outdoors in natural light can sharpen your memory, making remembering and recalling important facts easier. To gain the benefits of natural light, try spending some time outside each day without wearing sunglasses or sunscreen and make sure to stay in the shade during peak UV hours. You could also try sitting near a window at work or home, as natural light streaming through windows still has all of the same benefits. With a little bit of effort, you can easily get your daily dose of natural light and reap all the benefits it has to offer

This week's vintage car of the week is a 1987 Sierra Cossworth - and it sold for a whopping £590,500! This goes to show just how high vintage cars' prices can go, as only a few years ago Sierra Cosworths would cost only around £10-20,000. It's incredible to think that over the years people have realized just how historic and desirable these cars are, and now some vintage Sierra Cosworths can command such high prices. It leaves us wondering: with this vintage classic costing such an impressive amount - what other vintage vehicles may be out there that could match or even beat the Sierra Cossworth price tag? We certainly can't wait to find out!

We hope you enjoyed our blog post and have learned something new about vintage cars, Simon Sinek and the importance of natural light. If you found this article interesting or informative, please feel free to share it with others - knowledge is always best when shared! We wish you all the best for the month ahead! Take care!

Great news letter Jason Grenham ???? I particularly liked the natural light section (well, the Cosworth bit was actually the best)...but self development'n'all that! It's amazing how much we take little things like daylight for granted - but yet, we all feel a thousand % better when the days are longer ????
