Leaders actually people, study finds.

Leaders actually people, study finds.

Groundbreaking new research has revealed surprising results this week. It appears that leaders who connect with their teams and make things happen are not only actual, real-life people, but that they don't switch off their quirks and personalities to come to work.

100% of Not An MBA students, when polled about the characteristics of a high-performance leader, unanimously produced words like 'real,' 'authentic,' 'humble,' and 'approachable.'

Shockingly, not one response included concepts like 'perfect,' 'omnipotent,', 'never lets their guard down' or 'is objectively better than everyone else' - though the data did suggest a contraindication for 'sanctimonious, distant assholes.'

naMBA student Jane Pseudonym admits to being floored by the results.

"I always thought being a person was just for at home?" Jane disclosed. "I keep all of my social media profiles private. I thought if my team knew I like to go to costume parties and that I crack up at dumb political memes, I'd lose my job." Wide-eyed, Jane continued: "Turns out, people love that sh*t."

Not An MBA Founder Alicia McKay is less surprised. After years of trying to emulate a comical facade of professionalism gleaned mostly from American legal TV shows, McKay experienced real commercial success once she embraced her irreverent attitude and bogan roots.

"People connect to people", McKay explained slowly as though speaking to an idiot. "When people they go to work, they're still people. If you're not being a real person, it's hard to connect to your ideas and feel motivated to deliver."

Numerous studies and academic research has wasted a tremendous amount of money proving this basic human fact, which you can find with a quick Google. When asked to quote an expert on the matter, McKay gave an exasperated sigh.

"Are you f**king kidding me? We're putting some of our brightest minds to work on this? Shouldn't they be curing cancer or something?"

More to come.

Its about gaining credibility. You cant get that without showing your "human" side.
