The Leader Within

There is not a minute, hour, day, month or year that some form of communication is written on LinkedIn connected to the topic of leadership whether in simplicity or complex words. I applaud the companies that have taken a concentrated effort to select, cultivate, motivate and train the right leaders to manage their businesses. Many years ago, my Church was conducting a Minister search and I was part of the main committee. There were some men that zeroed on the outward appearance and credentials; however, they failed to completely dial in on the content of their beliefs and how misalignment could affect the Church. I have personally appreciated interviews; over the years, when hiring teams and managers focus on getting to know the leader within beyond the paper and displayed persona. Some of the best face-to-face interviews can occur without a resume or prepared questions and as I became a more seasoned leader, I honed in on gut decisions when making hires outside the norm. A concept proved to be successful, when a leader knows, conducts and lives by the within characteristics of the heart to manifest throughout their minds and souls, they are readily to make the right hire and develop teams to deliver on the bottom line. The most thorough and equipped leader is someone that is complete inside out to display their lives with consistency professionally and personally when Christ is the Director. It becomes a fundamental lifestyle to produce good fruit of integrity, respect and trust.
