Be A Leader (A Poem)
Be a leader.
Take responsibility for your life.
For your results.
Let every thought you have wishing something was different
Because an action plan to MAKE the difference you wish for.
Let every time you blame someone else be a moment to reflect
And choose to make it within your control to change.
When someone has wronged you, be forgiving.
Living life in the blame zone hurts no one but yourself.
Every time you push responsibility off on someone else
You make yourself more of a victim of your life.
Great things were never created by a victim.
Every time someone blames you gives you an opportunity to step up.
It’s not a matter of right or wrong but a matter of who you what to BE.
Be someone YOU are proud of.
Create a life YOU are envious of.
Everything you ever want is within your grasp if you are willing to never let go.
See the power you contain and know that the more you share, the more you gain.
Don’t be afraid to be bold. No matter what you’ve ever been told
Never be ashamed to live into your skin.
Your skin was merely meant to cover your blood and veins because that’s gross
Bu never meant to conceal yourself from showing us who you ARE.
You’re a star.
Although there are millions of stars in the sky, one cannot dim the other.
They are brothers.
Join with other stars to make the world shine, never doubt the light you add, for if you were useless, you wouldn’t be here.
So shine bright, loud and clear, make the choices you’d regret not taking.
And when you fail
Embrace the fact that you are human, and there are no such things as fails, just notes on what NOT to do next time.
You’ll be fine.
Take your time.
Stand up and shine.
And be ALIVE.
