I call this newsletter?One2One (1-2-1), where I'll be sharing;
So without further ado, let's begin with today's Smart Parenting Tip.
Be a leader, not a hypocrite
Sometimes kids will call you out for not following the rules you laid down yourself.
Kids are quite observant.
If you say one thing and do another, they will catch you immediately.
And if your answer to them calling you out is, “because I’m elder to you”, then you are a hypocrite. I was called out myself once.
I kept egging my 15 year old to be confident and speak up more when we are at social gatherings.
My son likes to keep to himself.
We had gone to a friend’s wedding at Ghaziabad.
I did not know many people there so I kept to my own corner near the buffet. My son went with my wife.
On the ride back, my looked at me and asked, “How come I have to talk to people but you can stand in a corner alone?”
I was almost taken aback at the question but he did have a point.
I was a recluse at weddings when it came to people other than my family.
So how could I expect my son to act any different?
These are the genuine problems with modern parenting. We start preaching even before we practice things.

Don’t forget, your kids are watching you. They are learning from you.
Similarly, if you ask them to always respond and not react, don’t blow your lid off at the first instance when something goes wrong.

2 Productivity hacks (That actually works) (To be taken from productivity hack word file)
·????????Pomodoro Device-?You can do your studies in sessions using Pomodoro device or similar mobile apps. The benefit of using this is that whenever you will start your session, you will do it with full concentration.
A further benefit is that breaks motivate you.
There are various Pomodoro apps - for example, one app uses the method of the plantation. Once you start your session, the app will plant a seedling and as the session proceeds, the seedling will grow into a tree. But if you leave the session in middle, the plant dies.
The advantage of using this app is that it affects students psychologically to complete the study session.
·????????Put the phone in another room, so that whenever you have an urge to use it, you will have to get up to go to the next room to get the cell phone
1 story for your child: Strength in unity
Once two friends were travelling through Muir Woods, that's close to San Francisco. This was a Redwood Forest. Both the friends came a across a park ranger who was telling the tourists about the secret of redwood trees. He started by saying that the Sequoia and Redwood trees are the largest trees of the planet. Some of them are even hundreds or thousands of years old. But interestingly, their roots do not grow deep.
And then he told that these trees have been standing for centuries and centuries, enduring massive windstorms, frigid blizzards and massive earthquakes." But without deep roots, how did they keep standing?"- asked one of the tourist.
The ranger paused to explain the underground secret of the redwood trees. He added, the roots of redwood trees, reach outward seeking the root of other trees. When the roots meet, they intertwine with each other making a permanent bond. Unity is their strength. They reach out to care for each other and even the roots of tiny redwoods are given shelter by the older giants. We are caretakers of divine property. Wisdom is to understand a simple thing that in giving, we receive.
By getting things, we make a living, by giving, we make a life.
Spiritual evolution of society can be understood, when people love people and use things. But in today's world, it is opposite. People use people and love things.
MORALS
1. Focus on building your roots. Achievers always focus on building their roots deep rather than aiming for the fruits from the start. So whenever you encounter any problems in preparation, it is best to go back to basics rather than peeking at the solution for a quick answer.
2. Unity among different concepts is the strength for success in any competitive exam.
