Leader or Follower?

This is a very strange question to me because I feel as though I have been asked this before. Especially here on WordPress, but who knows? Either way I think that I consider myself a follower. A follower of the ‘greats’ that came before me and the people who inspire me. There is no way that I can be who I am or where I am (I am no where special by the way and nobody special haha) without the help and inspiration of people like Benjamin Franklin who was an astonishing inventor.

For example a few more people who inspire me are Leonardo DaVinci, Nelson Mandela…. this list can go on and on. I think the fact of the matter is that I am interested in following the collective wisdom of the ‘greats’ who came before us and the ones who are here with us today. You know, Lebron James and Caitlin Clark are some of the ‘greats’ currently that comes to mind. Behind these ‘greats’ though I see a tremendous work ethic and it is not to just be ‘passed over’.

To further bring home the idea of like me being a leader or follower. I am definitely a follower. Maybe even most of us are thinking about it. I personally like books and ‘nerding out’ but it is like books are meant to be ‘followed’. In that sense since I like books and I follow the literature that is printed on the pages I consider myself nothing but a follower. Even in execution of ideas that I have gained from reading still I am following ‘text’ from someone. Have a great day. :)
