Lead yourself - lead others
"Jake Whightman has become the world 1500m champion," declared his father Geoff who along with coaching his son, had the privilege of commentating on the race and the unlikely (for most) win at Hayward field.
Geoff would have been forgiven for a little emotion during that commentary but he was professional to the line.
Sean O'Shea was also able to keep his head (when all about were losing their's) to score a magnificant 50yd point, putting Kerry through to an All Ireland final.

The Director
The penny dropped - Chapter 4
Bloom settled well into retirement keeping his early morning routine and catching up with his passion for literature. He had always been accessible to employees and his address and phone number were widely known so it was no surprise that he would still be in demand by some of the workforce for advice and assistance. This led initially to voluntary support, but these small beginnings eventually developed into a significant consultancy practice. In many cases employees would contact him if they were negotiating severance terms and this displayed the esteem in which he was held. One enquiry involved allegations of bullying so, true to form, Bloom researched the subject thoroughly and that meant leaving no stone unturned including reading obscure theses.
Godfrey’s discoveries in this instance unnerved him as he experienced the sensation that some of the literature was “speaking” directly to him. It gradually dawned on Bloom that he had been the victim of bullying himself for most of his tenure on the board. What he had regarded as simply bad manners had a more sinister explanation. The phrase “lack of information, ostracization and humiliation,” resonated with the former executive as he could easily call to mind multiple instances where all three conditions existed.
The more Bloom thought about it the more embarrassed he became as he realised that throughout his tenure, he had been the target of bullying by some of his peers. His most enduring emotion was one of shame that he hadn’t stood up for himself and with all this occupying his thoughts he would often wake up in the middle of the night ready to confront a colleague because in retrospect he knew what he ought to have done and said only to realise that it was now too late. Other than a legal challenge, which he wasn’t contemplating, he felt completely powerless and regretful that he hadn’t done anything to change the culture when he had the chance.
The positives for Bloom in this new chapter of his life were that these experiences along with his knowledge and education meant that he quickly gained a reputation as the expert in behavioural attitudes in the workplace and his self-esteem increased with every success. The progress he made with employees of his former firm led to a growing client base from several employment types at home and abroad.
