Lead Generate The World Brand Your Database

Lead generation and branding are two different animals. You'll find most people in the real estate industry using branding to try and lead generate, then say it doesn't work.

Let's look at the two.

  1. Branding, capturing the mind share of people so that when it's time, they think of you.
  2. Lead Generating, the craft of causing a prospect to exchange their contact info for something that a prospect wants.

The idea of plastering a brand to the world can get costly, billboards, giant mail campaigns, lots and lots of web stuff, all to a brand, not necessarily meant to make the phone ring. The problem is for a real estate agent or any small operator, for the most part the branding hits too many people that would never use or refer you.

Lead generation, typically is narrowly focused and will yield a higher rate of return. Rather than blast a message everywhere, you can go where the fish are so to speak.

Once you have captured them and have a valid reason for them to listen to you, then it is time to brand that group. You don't need, and further more you cannot afford to own mind share of the world, you simply need to have the mind share of 300-500 people.
