In the age of AI and rapid automation, L&D's traditional methods are under the microscope. Can we still rely on what worked in the past?
Richard Sites and Trish Uhl are crystal clear: L&D’s continued relevance hinges on its ability to transform.
We must focus on:
?? Continuous performance improvement
?? Capability development
?? Measurable business impact
Our old approaches won’t cut it anymore.
L&D’s transformation isn’t optional—it’s critical for survival. To adapt, we must rethink our foundational frameworks and ask ourselves:
?? Are we deconstructing outdated skillsets?
?? Are we rebuilding with the right mindsets to meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce?
?? Are we leveraging AI to drive business impact beyond learning?
The time to evolve is now. To stay ahead, we need to:
?? Embrace continuous learning as the core of our strategies
?? Deconstruct legacy methods and reimagine our approach
?? Align L&D with real business outcomes
So, how is your organization preparing for this shift? What steps are you taking to redefine L&D in the face of AI and automation?
Drop your thoughts in the comments and let’s shape the future of L&D together!

2 个月Totally agree with the position being taken here. The problem is that L&D like much of business training, had been like a glacier when it comes to change. We have become too comfortable in our positions and have forgotten that the world outside is not going to wait for us as it adapts the advancing technologies of a changing world. The time is not to bring out the dated saying of "thinking outside the box" but instead to push the boundaries so that the box is no longer relevant at all. Revolutionize the use of AI by instead of simply asking it questions, to create truly intelligent assistants in problem solving in the in work situations. Something else to consider is that when quantum computer farms come fully online and accessible to a business, the game becomes totally global with very few limits. Just a few thoughts... ??
