1?? "ChatGPT Enterprise" Announced by OpenAI:

  • OpenAI has just announced that they are launching ChatGPT Enterprise, which is essentially a high-powered upgrade to the original ChatGPT
  • Users will have unlimited access to ChatGPT 4 at twice the regular speed, advanced analysis, and enterprise-level cyber security and privacy protocols.
  • Included in the list of companies who are set to be onboarded to this programme are: Amgen, PWC, ZenDesk, Canva and Zapier.
  • Since its release in November 2022, ChatGPT has achieved a whopping 80% adoption rate by Fortune 500 companies.

2?? Eleven ways to resolve DE&I conflict:

  • The real cost of conflict: Mismanaged conflict can have significant financial repercussions for businesses, with an estimated annual cost of £28.5 billion in the UK.
  • Framing and facilitation: Resolving DE&I disagreements often requires careful framing and may necessitate skilled facilitation. Bringing willing parties together is the first step towards finding shared objectives.
  • Promote respectful dialogue: Actively listen to and respect other perspectives, even if an agreement isn't reached.
  • Recognise your privilege: Acknowledge power dynamics and privilege, especially if you hold privilege. Understanding others' lived experiences and demonstrating empathy is essential for effective communication.
  • Shift focus to resolution: Instead of aiming to "win" conflicts, pursue resolution as it benefits all parties involved and contributes to a more inclusive workplace culture.

3?? Public speaking training in front of a supportive audience in Virtual Reality improves performance in real life:

  • This study explores the use of VR for practising public speaking, a challenging task for many.
  • It aimed to understand how the behaviour of a virtual audience affects public speaking performance.
  • The research team analysed the effectiveness of practice sessions with a supportive and unsupportive VR audience, and, without an audience.
  • They discovered that participants who practiced in front of a supportive virtual audience had more positive beliefs about their performance. This positive belief then extended to their real-life public speaking performance, resulting in increased confidence as rated by their instructors.
