When you’re dealing with people’s life savings, process is very important. Everyone in the business needs to know where each client case is in the process, this is why we have every process in the business written down.

Everything from how we take a phone call and process an enquiry, to how we buy and sell investments. The number of processes is substantial, and this is why we have a written process for everything we do.

We have a six-stage process with our clients, and this is available to view and is put as an overview on our website, so clients can see some of what to expect.

These are as follows:

Initial Meeting

The first meeting is to help you decide whether we can provide you with a service you will value. We will clearly explain how we work, the services we offer and how we charge for our work. This meeting is completed at our expense.

Discovery Meeting

We want to listen to your immediate financial priorities and concerns but importantly we will also take the time to listen and to understand what you want from your future.

We will discuss your existing financial arrangements and attitude to risk in order to develop a clear picture of you and your finances. The task of designing a Financial or Retirement Plan, to help you achieve your goals can only be completed when we understand your priorities and beliefs around money.

We believe that the most important factor when talking with clients is their attitude to and understanding of risk and a report on your level of risk will be produced from our discussions.

Assess & Analyse

Utilising the information gathered, we will analyse your current personal financial position and assess what actions need to be taken to ensure your goals are achieved.

We will liaise with your existing providers to ensure we have up to date information to create a picture of your current financial position and to help you understand where you are financially. Your individual attitude to risk and financial goals both now and in the future will be used to develop the right plan for you.

We will focus on your vision for the future to create your personalised financial plan.

Advice Presentation

We now know where you are, what you want and where you want to be. During this meeting, we will present you with our advice.

We will give you intelligent, honest advice about what you need to do and provide an explanation of the options open to you.

We encourage you to ask any questions during the meeting so you fully understand how the financial plan will work in the future and what this means to you.

Implement Plan & Recommendations

If you’re happy to proceed with our proposals, we can begin to implement your financial plan strategy. This is an important and critical stage and various factors will need to be considered. We will manage the process of updating your existing plans and implement any agreed strategies.

Monitor & Review Your Plan

We don’t believe that financial life planning is a one-off event. We would like to be your financial planner for life and work closely with you to ensure your future objectives are reached.

The world of finance does not stay still and neither should your plan, this will need to be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure you are still on target for your goals and that the risk you originally took with your investments has not drifted too far from your comfort zone.

Our on-going review service lets you track the progress of your plan and identify what, if any adjustments are needed to ensure the realisation of your goals. This may include changes to your current lifestyle and future plans or an increase or decrease in your attitude to risk.

We will review the impact of future legislation and taxation changes on your financial plans and depending on the level of service you opt for, this will include a follow up meeting and annual visits.

This is of course a high level overview of our process, we have a client portal where documents are electronically and securely sent, for those less tech savvy we have an excellent printer!

Lazenby's have taken the time and effort to write down all their processes for clients, which is very helpful for a new starter.
