In the last few weeks, Layerr has been working hard to bring the first true NFT native watch brand into realization. On April 30, the New York fashion house NIMANY will launch the highly-anticipated NFT Digital Watch collection: NIMANY CLUB.
The new watch brand is already picking up lots of attention from many publishers as not only the first genuine NFT watch brand, but also the first watch brand to pair luxury NFT virtual watches with physical products.
THE MECHANICS OF THE NFTS & HOW THEY WORK
NIMANY CLUB will offer buyers the chance to mint the NFT directly from their website. Watches will be randomly disbursed, and the specific model only to be revealed several days later. The colored ceramic models make up the largest percentage of the initial 1,810 assortments at approximately seventy-five percent, followed by the rarer ceramic “freaks” which feature an additional, unusual material (representing just fifteen percent of all NFT watches in the collection), and the stainless-steel models (accounting for ten percent of all models minted). Only two percent of NFT digital watches will be gold, while mono-color “unicorns” are the rarest of all, representing less than 1 percent of the entire collection.?
After the watches are revealed, the game starts, and collectors may choose to hold their NFTs, bundle and burn them to trade for rarer NFT watch models, or redeem for a physical watch. The inventory of NFTs is expected to be sold out as the game continues over a series of weeks, increasing scarcity and valuation for owners still in possession of their digital watches. This burn-and-trade mechanism represents a technological breakthrough in the NFT space.
