Next month, we will have a new prime minister. On May 15, Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will take over the reins from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who will assume a new role as senior minister. A major Cabinet shake-up is not expected – with DPM Wong saying after the handover announcement that existing Cabinet ministers are likely to keep their current portfolios. We’ll know more in the days leading up to his swearing-in ceremony, when he announces his new ministerial line-up.
