Launching a Start-Up with 4 U.S. Military Veterans!

I am blessed to be a Co-Founder to NGF Global which will become the Amazon of the Agribusiness Industry.

However, I want to share why launching a start-up with 4 former Military/Military Support Veterans (i.e., two Special Operations, a JTAC and one brilliant gentleman who worked on the Trident 1 & 2 Missile systems) prepared us for one for the most difficult business challenges on earth - launching a start-up!

Also, I want to give a shout out to George Murray with whom I serve with on the Soldiers Angels Board of Directors for inspiring this post - thanks George!

The military taught our 4 Co-Founders to survive tough situations and how to get ahead personally, in business and most importantly, how to help others get ahead:

1.????Volunteering is a life multiplier: ~2M million men and women, or about?1 percent?of the total U.S. make up the military ranks. Military personnel are part of a small group that stand out compared to the rest. We support and help advance others. However, we are already unique and different from the majority out there.

2.????Family is more than Blood:?You can develop a dynamic and diverse team willing to do whatever it takes (ethically) to win and eager to run through a burning wall.

3.????You Can!: Most physical challenges are a matter of mind over matter. If you have a “Can Do Attitude” you have already overcome more than 50% of the challenge. Always start a sentence with how you can, and you will get looked on favorably and advance farther in both business and your personal life.

4. ??“Embrace the Suck”:?Life is not fair; get used to it. It also doesn’t owe you anything. Wake up with a positive attitude, refrain from reacting to everything, and keep calm in difficult times.

5.????Success is on the other side of Fear:?Whether it’s jumping out of a plane, rappelling from a helicopter under fire, or taking on a new assignment. Fear is the chasm between where you are standing to where you want to be - Take the jump!

6.????Make Decisions:?Progress stifles when decisions lag; when decisions are off; make more and course correct. A plane is off-target 90% of the time; gets to its destination. Do not fear making decisions. Remember, not making a decision is making one and more times than not a bad one.

7.????Take Responsibility & Accountability:?Know your responsibilities and always be accountable for them and for the people you lead. People who advance take accountability, especially in difficult times.

Wishing you and yours a Blessed and Prosperous?2022 and beyond!
