Welcome to the second edition of our LinkedIn Newsletter, "Inclusion and Diversity Learning Circle"! In this edition of our newsletter we are excited to share Diversity Inclusion’s first Learning Lab video with you, “Our Beginnings”. In our Learning Lab video, CEO, Lucinda Hewitson, shares how Diversity Inclusion started and where this journey has taken her and her team since 2013.

Within the video, Lucinda also shares some top tips on creating more diverse and inclusive organisations. These include …

• Focus on Inclusion – Diversity is important, but inclusion is key to your organisation leveraging the benefits of their diverse workforce
• Bring everyone on your diversity and inclusion journey – For example, gender is only one aspect of diversity and focussing only on gender is likely to leave some people feeling excluded. Rather, it is important, and likely to result in better outcomes if you engage everyone with your goals and actions towards greater diversity and inclusion
• Baseline Diversity & Inclusion - All organisations will be limited in the resources they can invest in becoming more diverse and inclusive. Measuring your diversity and inclusion baseline will help you identify your priorities and also, measure your progress.

Latest News: Sponsorship Program Launch

This month, the Diversity Inclusion team launched our Sponsorship Program with one of our long-term clients, ASC Pty Ltd. This is ASC’s second round of our program, which saw Lucinda Hewitson presenting at the Launch Event (see image above), bringing together 2022 Sponsors and Sponsees, as well as previous program participants, senior leaders and board members. The Diversity Inclusion team have also been delivering a series of online webinars throughout August, supporting both Sponsors and Sponsees to prepare for their participation in the program.
