Launching "Onco Warriors" to the world

Today, on world cancer day, we are very proud to formally announce the launch of the Onco Warriors initiative.

 What is Onco Warriors?

It is simple.

If you are a cancer patient or a caregiver, we will connect you with a cancer survivor or a caregiver anywhere in the world who has been through a similar journey not long ago. You can talk to them (anonymously if you prefer) and get advice and emotional support to go through your own treatment.

Why are we doing this?

Over the last 3 years of building Onco and through countless conversations with families who have been affected with cancer, we have had a humble learning

Speaking up helps.

Talking to someone who has been in your shoes helps a lot.

Getting diagnosed with cancer is like being hit by darkness. Not knowing what to expect and not having anyone around you who knows what to expect is what makes this journey even harder.

At Onco, we want to do our bit by giving you access to that someone.

 Through the Onco Warriors initiative, we are building a global community of cancer survivors and families who can lend support to someone who is currently going through their treatment. Based on your condition, we will try and connect you with someone in the community who can offer you some emotional/practical guidance to give you that support and strength to push through.

 This is an absolutely voluntary exercise. Anyone who has been associated with cancer and wants to help others can sign up and become an Onco Warrior today.
