Launching the Newsletter
Things moving too fast lately?

Launching the Newsletter

June 4, 2024 - I want to acknowledge something that's been coming up often in conversations lately. As a technologist working in digital marketing for nearly three decades, keeping up with the pace of change is part of what I do. So, I always joked that I couldn't complain about it because I signed up for it.

But over the past three months, things feel like they've gone from light speed to something faster. New AI-driven tools, new foundational large and small language models, new data-connecting, generative text, images, audio, video, and virtual worlds.

Are you feeling it, too? How are you keeping up? I'd love to hear from you and get your technology temperature check.

My Goal

I read a lot daily, and I'm sure you do, too. To launch the newsletter, I made it biweekly, which is manageable for both me and you.

I set the bar for myself to live up to the newsletter title. I'll only share my perspective on the news, trends, or information I share with my clients. I promise to give the same value here, in bite-sized chunks, that I share with them daily.

You'll get my perspective and POV on digital marketing, leadership, lessons I've learned from startup and enterprise work, and advances in business and technology that you should be tracking. AI has always been a part of my digital world, but now it's spreading faster than the Internet so it will be here too.

I'd also like every issue to have something unique that will help push me outside my comfort zone into an area where I need to grow - creating video.

An Open Invitation, "What's the Problem?"

Are you in need of advice or feedback on marketing your business? Are you struggling to understand what's going on with your website or social media presence? If not you, do you know someone who is?

In the first half of every newsletter edition, I'll share your "Need to Know Only" news. That will be 100% written by me, never AI-generated.

The second half will include a quick video of my advice for that week's "What's the Problem? " guest. That way, I can share your customers' perspectives and give you my hot take on what's happening. ??

You can submit your marketing, organizational, or innovation problem to me here using a Google Form. Then, I'll pick one submission in each issue and share my professional opinion about what's happening.

I'll be specific and honest in my assessment. I'll share a roadmap of how I would tackle your problem. And I'll clarify anything that's confusing in the comments. :)

Ready to Sign Up?

If this newsletter sounds valuable to you, please subscribe. If you know a colleague or family member who might find it valuable, too, I'd appreciate it if you shared it with them. In two weeks, I'll return with your need-to-know news items and the first "What's the Problem? " video review.

What digital problem do you need help with? I've probably dealt with it. If I haven't, I'm not afraid to tackle the toughest problems and tell you how I'd handle them. And if I can't help, I'll contact an expert in my network for their advice.

Submit your problem using my Google Form, I may address your issue publicly in an upcoming issue.

Thanks for your time and attention. I appreciate it.

Keith

Subscribed! Love the idea of the "What's the Problem" and might have to borrow that for what I help my client with around brand strategy.
