Launching a low-carbon and plastic-free drinking water solution

Wayout International and Desert Technologies sign a Memorandum of Understanding to deploy an innovative solar-powered drinking water solution, helping populations move away from plastic water bottles and transport of water while improving health and reducing emissions.

Wayout International (“Wayout”), a Swedish water technology company that has developed a proprietary drinking water production solution, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Desert Technologies, a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia based Renewable Energy and Smart Infrastructure Company. By combining the two technologies, both in similar modules of containerized solutions, Wayout and Desert Technologies will be at the forefront in providing completely sustainable Water-as-a-Service solutions. The concept is unique in that it encompasses PV powered decentralized and local water production units delivering a green and healthy solution that offsets the current fossil and plastic based schemes.

The Memorandum of Understanding focuses on three areas of cooperation:?

• Cooperation on financing solutions for joint commercial customer projects.

The Parties have several large transactions in the pipeline with the expectation of generating substantial benefits for the local economies, based on the shared solution that produces perfect drinking water in a sustainable and circular resilient system, with low CO2-emission and no microplastics.
