The launch of #Worldplaces

Today we celebrate the launch of #Worldplaces, co-founded by #SPEAK and led by @Quid Impresa Sociale ! This is the first international network that brings together the two halves of the female working world: those who are accessing a new job market and women already working in companies within that market..

Worldplaces was born thanks to the support of the @European Commission Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs in 2021 in 4 European countries - Italy, Portugal, Germany and Greece - engaged at the forefront of redefining more inclusive labor markets, with particular attention to the synergies between the new and diverse talents of migrant women and the logic and policies of the national labor market.

We are extremely proud to have a culture marked by cooperation, passion, enthusiasm and commitment. This is largely due to the significant female representation that we have in the team and in the community, with 70% of our members being women. Women who are able to make bold and wise decisions as leaders, inspiring others to follow, and making the environment less authoritarian and more cooperative.

The majority of the team are women, and actually migrant women. Because most of us had to face similar challenges in our journeys, there is an understanding of the common challenges and also a culture of courage, endurance and goal setting that can be summed up in having a resilience and will to make a change.

This culture has allowed SPEAK to reach more than 50.000 thousand people and empower them to help others and to be the protagonists of the solution while creating their own informal support network. This changes the narrative from the migrant who needs help and support to the person who helps others and is part of the solution.

With Worldplaces, we will now use this culture to inspire and bring out the same qualities that we know other women have to start their integration process and joining the job market.
