Launch Update: Risky move, never to be repeated again

Update 4:

I scheduled an outbound cold email cadence to go out at 6AM EST on November 15th, 2021. I had a mixture of excitement and anxiety not knowing if I would get a response or not.

My first email back was this:

The immediate reaction was, “oh crap, is my email officially flagged as spam?”?

Yes, it was. Google then actually locked me out of my account, and lost access to my email and calendar.

So I Googled the error message and saw that it can occur when you attempt to send an outgoing email to another mail server and it rejects it outright due to classifying your message as spam.

I did some research and found an awesome source from warmupinbox.com that said, “Even if you have been warming up your inbox for months alongside having the proper security DNS settings in place, your mail can still land in a spam folder.”

After further reading, warmupinbox.com provides a list of words to avoid using in your outbound email so it doesn’t get flagged as spam.?So I decided to share that list with you today.

Luckily, I was able to retrieve my account and make sure I DO NOT repeat that mistake again (they slap you on the wrist.

The takeaway of all this:

1. Make sure to warm up your email with 20-50 contacts you know before sending a blast (this could take 2 weeks to do properly)
2. When you do decide to blast, don't blast 100/day, only do 5-10 a day to start out.
3. Don't use trigger words that can flag your email.
