A working single-source media measurement was launched as part of the project. Currently, there are over 400 devices that, online, both stationary and mobile, collect data from media consumption such as: TV, Radio and Internet. The panel is expanded with new members equipped with other devices using new, emerging technologies.
During the special event in Krynica, a presentation was made of the operation of meters for single-source data collection as part of a working panel. This is an essential element of the technical implementation of the project. Radio and television measurement in the presented system is carried out using the so-called passive method audio matching. Internet measurement is carried out at the browser level. In addition, the tests measure the distance between the meters, the sound level and collect data from accelerometers. This allows you to know more precisely how and where the media is consumed. The devices transmit data to a central system located in the cloud, where they are then analysed and on this basis panel quality optimization is carried out. It is a working single-source measurement, but still in the phase of experiments and research.
The Telemetria Polska project assumes a telemetry panel based on 26,000 respondents, single-source measurement of TV, radio and Internet - measuring media consumption outside the home and on mobile devices. In addition, the RPD panel will be launched as part of the project, ultimately based on 11 million households. An important aspect is the aforementioned single source data, which means that data on various media - TV, Radio, Internet - come from the same members.
