Launch of The Sentinel 1100 at Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition
Sentinel Boats
Our mission is to create durable vessels, capable of bringing on-water crews home safely every time.
Ready for transportation, the Sentinel 1100 leaves today for Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition.
Thanks to our dedicated team who worked around the clock to complete the Sentinel 1100 for the unveiling on Tuesday, May 10 at 15:15 at the Defence Tasmania Stand #3G19 International Convention Centre in Sydney.
The Sentinel represents the latest technology in this sector of maritime defence, and with its next-generation High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) hull, in partnership with Australian designers, One2three Naval Architects, we have designed and built a boat that can complete its mission and bring the crews home safely whilst offering a whole of life cost that is without parallel.
Construction of The Sentinel was assisted by the Tasmanian Government through a three-year interest-free loan.
PFG CEO Mr Rob Inches said PFG has a global reputation for excellence which continues to put Tasmania’s advanced manufacturing skills on the map.
“The support of the Tasmanian Government for this project has been vital and now we have a vessel that not just our employees can be proud of, so can all Tasmanians.
“We are also delighted that we are able to continue the Tasmanian tradition of building innovative and latest technology boats - a heritage that actually spans almost 200 years in our State.”??
