???Startups on the rise??A few days ago we asked our 80k LinkedIn followers: Do you think in 4-5 year's from now there will be me MORE or LESS new startups being founded in Europe per year? Here are the results.

?? Startup Guide Summit: Celebrating its 10th year, Startup Guide is going to host a “Startup Guide Summit” on Nov. 13 in Lisbon. This event fosters innovation and collaboration by uniting startups, investors, public sector reps, community builders, and stakeholders from 60 startup ecosystems worldwide. In partnership with Impact Shakers, the event will also feature the Urban Impact pitch competition, which provides startups with exposure, networking opportunities, PR support, and a chance to secure a €10k investment!

The Launch of turnedVC:?Techstars Scout Marcin Lewandowski just launched a kick-ass podcast called?turnedVC, which is all about going places, having fun and interviewing great people with different backgrounds who became VC investors. EU-Startups Podcast: Today, we published the latest edition of the EU-Startups Podcast where we interviewed Angel Maldonado, the Founder and CEO of Empathy.co - a European innovator in the fields of commerce search and discovery. By the way, since we have many podcast episodes in the backlog (already recorded), we're now switching to a weekly frequency! :)

?? The Heart of Thuringia: Germany’s venture capital activity is still going strong, with regions like Thuringia standing out as prominent hubs for investment opportunities. Central to this investment surge is bm|t, a VC firm established 20 years ago, backed by the regional government. In celebration of this anniversary, we interviewed bm|t's CEO, Kevin Reeder, who provided in-depth insights into Thuringia, its businesses, and the overall investment landscape.

?? Senior Citizens: Population aging has been a prominent global trend for several decades. Eurostat reports that more than half of Europe’s population is now over the age of 44.4 years. In response to this demographic shift, elder tech has emerged as a new field for technological advancement. Copenhagen-base?Klimate.co secured €3.5 million to address climate change through carbon management solutions. Play-for-purpose game Zeedz?scored €950k to raise awareness for climate change, and Austrian SaaS startup inoqo, committed to enabling grocery retailers to assess and reduce the environmental impact of their food supply chains, has successfully closed a 7-figure round.
