Launch of Mifos Gazelle v1.0.0 Digital Public Infrastructure as a Solution (DaaS)
12/16/2024 12:00 (UTC) - The Mifos Initiative is proud to announce it has released v1.0.0 of Mifos Gazelle; a Digital Public Infrastructure as a Solution (DaaS) tool.? Mifos Gazelle for the first time offers an easy and reliable way to deploy multiple Digital Public Goods (DPGs) quickly from a single instruction.? This revolutionizes the deployment approach allowing for Digital Public Infrastructure to be deployed in 15 mins ready for configuration.?
Mifos Gazelle v1.0.0 deploys the following open-source DPG components.? Mifos X (with Apache Fineract backend) for core banking, Mifos Payment Hub EE for Payments Orchestration and Mojaloop vNext Beta as a Payments Switch.? Mifos is proud to have supported the community of developers from its inception as a Google Summer of Code project in 2023 through to this launch point. The community has an exciting roadmap of enhancements and features it looks to develop and integrate in the future, including end to end demonstrations out of the box; solutions for small hardware profiles; increased DPG deployment options.
For v1.0.0 Mifos Gazelle has focused on reducing deployment time for Demo, Test and Development environments, later versions will focus on the same efficiencies being able to be applied to production environments.
