Launch of Exciting New Programme

As we approach International Women's Day, I see this as a great opportunity to launch my new website www.wendydean.co.uk . My passion is supporting other women to achieve their goals, not just through coaching and mentoring but also by giving them development programmes that are for women with content that is interesting to women.

Many women only programmes focus on how to be stronger or more assertive. Well, let's tip that on its head. Why not develop the skills that we've already got, like empathy and compassion? With more and more people reporting that they have mental health issues in the workplace at the moment, surely these traits are better served to support others.

I spoke at a local women's networking group last week and we discussed how women should leave the ladder down for other women to climb. My view on this is that we should build them an elevator so that many women can travel on the journey together. One at a time will not reach where we need to be quickly enough and it's pretty lonely.

The more women in business I meet, the more I realise that they are still crippled by the imposter syndrome. Even at women only events, some women feel that they are inferior to others around them. Why Women Don't Play Golf (WWDPG) is not just learning theories and referencing quotes from other women, it's actually getting stuck in to how we speak and what we say, our look and how we feel and learning how to get out of our comfort zone to find the magic.

Why Women Don't Play Golf is a programme that looks at confidence in ourselves. It's also fun, because when we have fun we enjoy things more.

Contact me at wendydean.co.uk if you'd like more information on the programme or mentoring.

A strong team is one which embraces both sides of the DNA helix. This is a positive thing, we need more women in business.
