Mauritius: Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements modified by the Multilateral Instrument of the OECD
This month, we give you an update on the?network of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAAs) signed by Mauritius based on the OECD model.
As at date,?46?tax treaties have been negotiated by the government of Mauritius?(the latest being with the Republic of Guyana) and the most recently?signed was with the SAR of Hong-Kong.

Launch of DTOS Tax Advisory Services
DTOS Tax Advisory Services Department was launched last year after Mr. Mario Hannelas (FCCA, a former Top Executive from the Mauritius Revenue Authority) has joined DTOS Group.
Under his leadership, our Tax Advisory Department will propose 4 main types of services:
Numerous in-house trainings have been delivered since last year in areas of domestic and international taxation with sessions covering topical matters such as Pay As You Earn (PAYE), Partial Exemption Regime, Permanent Establishment, Tax Treaties and?FATCA and CRS. We will soon offer external?trainings on topical tax issues?including tailored tax training to meet client’s specific needs in relation to Corporate Income tax, Personal Income Tax, VAT, BEPS and other relevant tax matters.
To help our stakeholders take informed decisions and navigate through tax landscape, our tax dedicated team has already published a series of articles on Globe Rules and other specific tax matters such as tax holidays in Mauritius and tax treaties, for the benefit of each and every reader. Stay alert for more articles that are in the pipeline.
