Laughter is good for connecting.

Laughter is good for connecting.

Did you know that kids laugh up to 300 times a day?

Working adults laugh up to 17 times a day.

Have you laughed today?

Here’s how laughter changed my life for the better.

Several years ago, I was touring North America as a professional stand-up comedian.

I had worked my way up through the ranks and was headlining comedy clubs, doing some corporate events, and getting to work with my heroes, Robin Williams and Norm Macdonald.

It was stand-up comedy that led me to find the love of my life, Becky, and she has helped build WorkHappy so I can help others learn how to become happier and that it’s OK to talk about mental health at work and home.

Our second date was at a Starbucks in Eugene, OR. ?I don’t even drink coffee.

We talked for an hour, then called the babysitter and let her know we needed another hour.

Another call gave us one more hour.

We walked around the mall—I don’t shop either and found a bookstore and this book.

We read it and laughed so hard we had tears in our eyes. ?I knew then, I needed to spend more time with this amazing human being.

Four years later, we got married, I moved to the USA and we started an amazing life together.

Laughter is good for our souls. ?It’s good for our health, and it’s good for our headspace.

Take time to laugh this weekend with the ones you love or the one you want to love.

Our next masterclass is about how to use “Humour @ Work” without visiting HR.
