TECH SPOTLIGHTS
Revolutionizing Urban Planning with the Latitudo 40 Urban Simulator
In our continuous effort to support urban resilience and sustainability, Latitudo 40 has been utilizing an invaluable tool in our arsenal: the Latitudo 40 Urban Simulator. This sophisticated platform combines artificial intelligence with satellite imagery to offer a comprehensive view of potential urban developments and their impacts.
Leveraging vector data and employing Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) on satellite imagery, this tool enables the creation of precise and tailor-made simulations of urban changes. It serves as an invaluable resource for envisioning cutting-edge urban layouts and refining current development strategies. The Urban Simulator is engineered for city planners, architects, and policymakers, providing a detailed basis for evaluating different urban planning strategies. It simulates various scenarios, enabling users to visualize the outcomes of their planning decisions without the need for physical alterations, saving both time and resources.
Through case studies like the transformation of the old NATO base in Bagnoli, Naples, and urban greenery enhancements in Milan, the Urban Simulator has proven its worth. It allows stakeholders to see the potential effects of green interventions and other planning actions on urban spaces, aligning development with environmental goals.
