Latest Track: I.C.E. Breaker

Here is my latest track entitled I.C.E. Breaker. The track is again written for the amazing folks at Sonic Underground with their latest release of the Parallax their first-ever product for the Serum synthesizer.

The release comes in 2 volumes, named Parallax and Trinity respectively.

The theme this time is the more hardcore aspects of cyberpunk from various music albums, film and games.

It so happened that I was playing Phantom Liberty, the latest DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. I was really fired up! So I set out to create a demo track for each volume of the soundset release.

In the world of Cyberpunk 2077, I.C.E. stands for Intrusion Countermeasures Electronics. This is like a layer of security hardware that guards and protects the data and electronics that reside at a deeper level. It is also possible to embed counter-cyberattack measures to spike and harm an unwary intruder.

This is also my first completed track using the Serum synth. When Serum came out about 10 years ago, I got my hands on it with an early purchase. I played around to audition the sounds but did not actually use the synth for any useful work.

If not for Sonic Underworld calling for demos I May not have started to use it.

I hope the feeling of cyberpunk and a bleak futuristic feel comes through from listening to the track.

I.C.E. Breaker is produced solely by the sounds found in the Parallax sound-set.
