Latest Technology trend and how will it affect your career

About a couple of months ago, to my embarrassment, I learned How could people don’t understand what does cloud mean. As per them it is still a mystery. A story untold.

Cloud technology has taken the Technology era with a surprise. But the question is do we understand what it is. We here mean end user, user who uses cloud in form of drop box, google drive but still unaware of the whereabouts and the technology. I don’t want to complicate with public, private or hybrid cloud. I will just talk keeping an account of the things and the implications we see around us because the goal of cloud computing is to allow users to take benefits from all available technologies without being an expertise. The cloud aims to cut cost and help users to focus on their core business instead of being shackle by IT for ex; I believe without the cloud we could have been still using large storage spaces and managing them would become another mammoth task. Cloud Technology has also provided us with the solution to our Backup. Imagine a large organisation with redundant servers and large drives taking backups which includes weekly and monthly backups, is it feasible to do so? Answer is no. Why to waste a large chunk of money on this instead why not go for cloud solutions.

I frequently come across peoples who ask me is it better to buy space on cloud or buy a hard drive instead. I understand which is best but when you speak and when you provide a suggestion you should be aware of one thing that can disappoint them i.e. Cost. Cloud space or even cloud for business is costlier than their counterparts but the ease of mind is definitely not guaranteed in the other counterparts. We are still stuck with two things Cloud for our personal use which I recommend strongly as it can’t get any better and other part is Cloud computing which we still have to understand and implement.

Undoubtedly IT plays an integral part in the success of a company. As the technology decision maker how do we go about justifying the value to the company? The cloud is potentially the one market place within the IT industry, that despite shrinking margins and economic woes it can still leverage a slice of business. But how do we as a small or medium sized business implement this with ease. Answer lies with Azure or office 365. Cloud is certainly the future of IT Technology.
