Front end development has proven over time to be an integral part of marketing technology and for this reason, it tends to improve and change per time. And because it keeps evolving, new concepts come around every now and then, it is then important for front end developers to keep up with the latest trends in the front end development world.

What is Front end engineering?

Front end engineering involves creation, development and design of the visual element and layout of websites and application. The way a product is engineered determines the look and appearance, and ultimately contributes to the market appeal.

Due to the constant changes that happen in Front end development, there are always latest changes to talk about. It is a new year, and we must expect that improvements on this technologies have been implemented by designers and developers.

Everything you need to know about the latest improvements in front end engineering involve:

Cyber- security

Security is an important thing to consider before building anything these days. Cyber security is even more paramount in the creation of any form of technology because the time and age is not cyber- security friendly.

For designers and developers, data security means a great deal and is something they have learned to incorporate in their design process.

Ease of operation.

The more changes are welcomed, the better the mode of operation – this is true for any form of front end development and truer for the latest front end development by developers and producers.

Some brand new technologies to look out for in front end engineering are;

Progressive web apps on the rise

Applications that have been designed and uploaded for general use directly from their Native developers are known as progressive web app. They are gaining momentum now because of obvious reason; people use those mobile phones more than before and therefore explore more applications. So, to meet the needs of the modern user, developers web apps that give satisfactory mobile experiences.

It is satisfactory because it consumes little to no data and allows operation at a speed that is generally acceptable.

Single page website.

Single page websites have become a thing in Front end engineering because everyone, the designers and users are at ease because of them.

To the designer and developer, a single page website means less time and less effort on creation and development.

To the modern and traditional users of the application, a single page website means easy navigation. With the single page website, users easily fish out information that they want by scrolling through the page.

Also, this single page website is developed to encourage users who use their mobiles – it is mobile-friendly.

JavaScript is important

Still, JavaScript remains the big gun in Front end development and engineering. It should not come off as a surprise because as of today, it is the one of the most used programming languages.

It easily helps developers find their way around frameworks, and range of libraries. There is absolutely no reason for JavaScript to not still be rising today.

Static Websites are coming back.

All things point to the fact that static websites are coming back. From the ease of development to the safety and speed that comes with using static website, it looks like it is about time we made static websites a thing once again.

In case you were wondering, static websites differ because they do not require databases to preserve data. Hence, Front end developers can work independent of backend developers.

Use of animation for UI(user interface)

As beautiful as minimalist designs are, some people just prefer to have other forms of design. So, we say yes to diversity and create interface options by using animations.

Animations are quite popular for the beauty, excitement and the ease of operation they guarantee. So, why not?

If users will be exposed to beauty and well as the excitement and safety that comes with using animation, it is indeed the time for animation in user interface.

As long as developers know how to add the animation in the right doses and there is no issue of overturn or underused animation designs, things should work out just fine on that end.

Simplicity

Simplicity may not have always been key to front end engineering. But, time and exposure have helped us to see simplicity in a new light. Hence, simple developments and designs have become integral to front end development.

While animations and bold designs continue to appeal to our sensibilities, the place of ease and simplicity should and cannot be erased.

It is gradually becoming a trend again that no matter the type of design you will be incorporating, Intuition and simplicity must not be missing.

Machines for cloud computing are developing.

There is an advancement in the machines responsible for cloud computing because cloud computing is a big deal in this time and age.

So many people work from home these days and mostly need to save data in the most effective way and in a way that it is accessible to team members, project stakeholders and other important dignitaries in need of the day We have found that cloud computing is the most reliable way to save data now. So, the improvement of the machines that allow for the possibility of cloud computing is important.

No SQL database

It is a recurring idea. But, it is better now that when it was first introduced in that, the complicated structure that it came with before has been broken. Now, the no SQL database which was redesigned in the 2000s has now been developed for scaling, speedy queries and frequent modifications inside and out of database.

Chatbots and Al

Chatbots is important for this season because human contact is now being frowned at. In the meantime, there has been improvements on the use of chatbots and Al to reach customers and serve them better.

As long as humans exist, there is need for human connection, with which product companies have the leverage to reach consumers. Used to be more about the physical before. But, artificial intelligence now seems to be the way for so many companies.
