Latest Release Highlights In Salesforce

Every year salesforce comes with major releases. It has introduced many new and innovative features to make your Salesforce ecosystem easier & simpler to use.

Here are the highlights of some of the release -

1. Let Users Log In to Salesforce with Their Apple ID.

To let users log in with their Apple ID, create an Apple authentication provider from the Salesforce Auth. Providers Setup page. After configuring the authentication provider and adding the Apple sign-in button to your Salesforce and Communities login pages, users can log in with their Apple credentials.

2. View Records Using Full View 

Full View is an extraordinary feature very similar to the classic view of Salesforce. This feature offers you two record page view default options. You have the option to choose between the current view that is now known as Grouped view and the new Full view. 

The full view displays all details and related lists on the same page. 

3.  Set Up Alerts for Big Deals in Lightning Experience

With Lightning Experience, you can now set up automatic email notifications for opportunities. Previously, you had to switch to Salesforce Classic to set up Big Deal Alerts. 

4. Empty The Recycle Bin In One Step

Earlier we had to select individual records in lightning to delete. Now all records can be deleted in a single click in lightning.

5. Assign Task To A Queue

A single task can be assigned to a group of users via queue. When a new task is created, we can assign a task to the queue instead of the user. It can be done by setup or programmatically .

6. In-app guidance in Lightning App Builder helps us to customize the pages and mobile apps faster.

In-app guidance appears dynamically when customizing a page, if it would be proper , no tips would be shown . If it requires any changes it will show in the bottom section of the lightning app builder.

7. New Salesforce Mobile App Automatic Upgrade

 This automatic upgrade increases productivity with improved experience that reflects personalized navigation and shows the information we use the most.

8. Mobile Platform Requirements 

Users can run the Salesforce mobile app on mobile devices that meet these mobile platform requirements. Latest Mobile version is required

              Android 6.0 or later                 Google Chrome or Android

              IOS 12.0 or later                   Apple Safari on IOS
