#1. Should Google offer a Stubhub competitor? That is, sell sports, concert, and theater tickets?

I'd first clarify the goal of offering this product. Will assume primary goal is to increase revenue.?

Another possible goal to consider is to bring new users onto their other products (e.g. Youtube, Youtube Music, Google Play, etc), but the overall?primary goal?for doing this would likely be the same (increase revenue for Google).

With that clarified, I'd approach this problem in the following way.

  • What is the size of the opportunity?
  • What does Google do?
  • What products does Google already offer that may influence this decision
  • Who are the existing players in this space?and what is the cost to enter the market and compete?
  • Outside of costs, are there any other risks to consider
  • Based on the above, make a final decision

Product goal: facebook events?

CQ: pages, groups, RSVP ,

Online and offline?

User goal: to use and engage with facebook events

Business goal: more the users are inclined towards using facebook events, more time are they spending on app and hence more monetization

User types/ stakeholders:

Event creators , event consumers , business groups / event companies

User journey:

Creator: group/ page / person can directly create from button >

create an event? > send an official invite > other ppl accept > respond > get rsvp

1. Describe the product - What does it do? Who uses it? How do they use it? YouTube is one of the most popular video streaming platforms. Supports both long-form and short-form content. The videos are uploaded by the general masses.

2. Clarification questions

  1. What do you want to improve in the app? And why? Revenue/ Engagement/ Retention/ Adoption? -? Say revenue. This is because YT has a user base of more than 2.5 MAU but the paid subscribers are around 3.2%
  2. Shall we also consider how much are we planning to increase? Say 1%
  3. Is there a specific channel to be considered (Web/Mobile/ Tablets)? No, overall
  4. Do I own the entire app or am I the PM for a specific vertical? Say the entire app
  5. Is there a geography that we are looking at? Say India
  6. Is there a timeline that we are looking at? Say 6 months
  7. Shall we improve an existing feature or build a new one? Anything ?
