Latest NFPP SIB Cathode Material Research Update

Based on room temperature 1C/1C 100% DOD condition, pouch NFPP real time tested 1141 cycles to 95.7% capacity retention, and cylindrical cell 1438 cycles to 94.7%.
Estimate this pouch NFPP cell can reach 15,000 cycles to 80% SOH, and cylindrical to 13,000 cycles.
At 60℃ high temperature 100% DOD condition, NFPP is getting 2372 cycles to 87.3% SOH on 1C/1C, 3890 cycles to 84.59% SOH on 1C/5C, fast discharging brings even longer life for this chemistry.
At -10℃, majority of layered oxide SIB cycle performance is worse, unless used special designed electrolyte for low temperature.
But NFPP is still getting 188 cycles to 98% SOH at 0.3C/0.3C 100% DOD, which means about 1880 cycles to 80% SOH. Due to the internal structure is more stable than other route SIB.
About EV's favorite fast charging performance, NFPP is doing pretty good at 4C/4C around 3000 cycles to 80% SOH, 5C and 6C charging will also have good cycle result, to enable 10 minutes full charging your EV.
Typical available NFPP powder parameter, with over 116mAh/g first charge capacity, over 87% first cycle efficiency at 0.2C, over 5,000 cycles life.
moisture control within 1000ppm, button cell half battery over 110mAh/g first charge capacity, and over 95% first cycle efficiency on 1.5-4.0V 0.1C/0.1C.
Several manufacturers are making prismatic 72-173-207mm typical LFP 280Ah size NFPP SIB with around 150-182Ah capacity, tested with good results.
185-260Ah for layered oxide SIB in this size, but suffering from the gas generation issue which leads the cell to swell up largely during long time charging discharging.
