A collaboration to reduce lime production emissions has begun between Nuada and MLC
A new agreement states that Nuada and MLC will collaborate on a project which is specifically dedicated to demonstrating net-zero lime production. One of the key components of this project, is that it will be completed through the use of MOF-based carbon capture and it will be held at MLC’s flagship facility, which is in Missouri.
Aker Solution and SLB Capturi will deliver carbon capture solution for Hafslund Celsio
The waste-to-energy facility in Klemetsrud, Oslo will soon receive a carbon capture solution delivered by Aker Solution and SLB Capturi. This delivery will be completed as part of the Longship project.
Auction for government support for BECCS is won by Stockholm Energi
Support was recently awarded to Stockholm Exergi through the Swedish Energy Agency’s reverse auction for BECCS. This support is a very important part of the funding, which altogether will enable the permanent removal of 800,000 tons of CO2 on an annual basis. It has been arranged that the planned facility, Beccs Stockholm, will be built in V?rtan, where the existing bio power plant is.
CCS project has been developed by Vestforbr?nding and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners
A new CO2 capture plant will be built by these two companies at Vestforbr?nding in Glostrup. This plant will be expected to have a capture rate of 500,000 tons of CO2 every year.
Rio Tinto and Hydro collaborate over carbon capture technologies for aluminium smelters
Hydro and Rio Tinto are an aluminium and renewable energy company and they have arranged a collaboration, with the intention of identifying and evaluating available carbon capture technologies. They are specifically looking for technologies which could play a role in the aluminium electrolysis process, at some point in the future.
