2024: Challenging uncertainly around BCa symptoms

Online 'Spot the Drop' game launched for World Bladder Cancer Awareness Month

During this year's World Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition (WBCPC) has launched an engaging online game called Spot the Drop”. The game connects the visual cue of seeing red to prompt action, challenging reaction times while emphasising the importance of early detection and immediate medical attention if symptoms arise. Have some fun and play the game,?and share with your community to help spread awareness, and how early detection significantly improves diagnosis and survival rates.


First-hand learning and collaboration with the Japanese Association of Urology

Dr. Filip Kowalski (PL) and Assoc. Prof. Juan Vásquez (DK) have just returned from visiting several top-class urology departments across Japan as part of their participation in the JUA-EAU exchange programme. Their enriching two-week clinical and cultural journey concluded at the 111th Congress of the Japanese Urological Association in Yokohama.

“The concept of OMBC is rather new and still requires validation of its clinical pertinence", states Prof.?Alexandra Masson-Lecomte?(FR) during her interview with Francesco Del Guidice (IT) on challenging the EAU Guidelines for oligometastatic bladder cancer. UROonco24: What are the emerging trends in artificial intelligence for BCa?

Prof. Eva Compérat (AT) will present on AI in BCa pathological assessment at UROonco24

In just one month’s time, onco-urology experts will gather in Budapest, Hungary (20-22 June) for UROonco24 to discuss the latest developments in genitourinary cancers, including advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).

"AI and radiomics are improving individualised cancer treatment planning by making the diagnosis and staging of BCa more accurate," says Prof. Eva Compérat (AT). She will present on "AI in bladder cancer pathological assessment," covering AI developments in assessing muscle invasiveness and pathological grades.
