GPCR Expertise

Working with our colleagues at the Medicines Discovery Catapult , we have developed and characterised label-free assays using dynamic mass redistribution and impedance technology to study the pharmacology of the mas-related GPCR family member D (MRGPRD) receptor and compared this with a traditional high throughput intracellular calcium release assay. Our data suggests important differences in receptor coupling and the behaviour of tool compounds when two different readouts of activity were measured in the same cell background, suggesting ligand-dependent coupling of the MRGPRD.
