Business is booming at Teesside Airport - with our biggest passenger numbers in more than a decade and record-breaking cargo movements. Our Business Park South has also got off the ground and we are delighted to announce that we are in the running to be Best UK Airport in the British Travel Awards in this latest round-up of airport news.

??? First Steel Erected at £200M Airport Business Park in Major Milestone
The first steel on the £200million business park is now in place as construction of a vital new link road to the site also nears completion.
Business Park South will create up to 4,400 jobs when fully operational, made up of 1.9million sq ft of logistics, distribution, and industrial buildings.

?? Record-Breaking Month Sees Airport Hit Highest Passenger Figures For More Than a Decade
Teesside Airport has seen its busiest month for more than a decade.
June saw a total of 25,666 passengers pass through the terminal – the highest figure since September 2010.
July was also a bumper month, with 24,781 people choosing Teesside.
? Teesside Airport To Gain Hydrogen Refuelling Station After Funding Success
Teesside Airport is going even further in supporting the UK’s net zero agenda as Government announced it would become home to a new permanent hydrogen refuelling station.
The airport previously became home to a temporary refuelling station and secured low-emission hydrogen fuelled vehicles – including cars, truck, forklift, van and tug – as part of the region’s Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub trial in 2021.
