Hybrid working: are you asking the right question?
There’s one subject still dominating conversations - hybrid working. We’re dedicating our August blog to the subject, and it’ll include an audio chat from?Andy and Jennie, because we know that listening to a conversation can shine light on complex situations in a way that just reading about it might not.
In 2020 we all flipped to remote working because we had to. Flexible working strategies that had been bubbling under for years were made reality overnight and companies did what they needed to do to keep delivering. But here we are, a couple of years on and we seem to have dug ourselves into a bit of a hole. As the world finds its new normal, the question of where people work is still unresolved. And somehow, despite everything we’ve learned since 2020, it seems to have come down to a binary choice – home or office???
And that’s causing tension between individuals, teams and organisations, because I suspect we all know it isn’t that straightforward. Employees and organisations are confused, and we don’t believe the answer is to roll out a singular ’apply to all’ policy. We believe that the answer lies with your team, being honest and asking the right questions.??
