Round 2: Launching Hammers & Flip Flops

With an incredible team behind Entry Envy and a clear mission, I am thrilled to have officially launched Hammers & Flip Flops. It has come the roller coaster of typical entrepreneurship emotions and reminded me how much courage it takes to start something new and put myself out there. I still can't muster it on the dating scene, but that's a different post for a different day in a different place! ??

Despite the nerves, I am once again embracing my "Fearless" mantra as I navigate this new journey. We built our waiting list to over 500 in just three weeks and welcomed our first 25 members in the first 24 hours! Reading Jamie Kern Lima's book 'Worthy' was a profound journey. Sitting on the plane on my way to a conference in San Diego, each page of this book prompted deep reflection—telling me everything I needed to hear as I contemplated my self-worth to start another company.

Key lessons include embracing innovation as a first-time entrepreneur, embodying authenticity, and living in alignment with personal purpose. It reminded me to embrace my true worth and recognize that I am enough right now, exactly as I am.

Embracing Work as Fun

When asked about my idea of "fun," I often surprise people with my response: boating, socializing, lifting weights, enjoying wine, and yes, working—I thrive on the feeling of success and progress that work brings.

This passion has led me to entrepreneurship, where dedication and late-night productivity can be celebrated rather than questioned. The 9-5 standard doesn’t fit everyone, and the hustle culture has been highly contested. However, it is definitely my current season in life and thankfully, I love it.
