  • Danielle Smith promised tax cuts for Albertans, and the UCP government has announced plans to implement an eight percent personal tax bracket for income up to $60,000 in the 2025/26 budget. This measure will cost the province approximately $1.2 billion annually and save taxpayers about $750 on their first $60,000 of income. ?
  • Edmonton City Council approved the new Public Spaces Bylaw on February 25, 2025, consolidating and updating regulations to create safer, more inclusive public spaces. Informed by extensive public input, the bylaw aims to enhance public safety while streamlining the legal framework. It will take effect on May 12, 2025.
