LinkedIn Adds New Advertising Features for Company Pages

Enhance your audience targeting with LinkedIn’s expanded filtering options, inclusion of paid and organic metrics, and the ability to save your reports as audiences for future campaigns. These new elements are designed to help marketers create more effective and impactful campaigns.

LinkedIn Tests Paid Boosting for Personal Posts

A subset of LinkedIn users will now have the ability to pay to amplify personal posts, a feature that is already available for company pages. This feature may be valuable if your goal is to establish yourself as an influencer. While this new feature will help expand reach, it leaves the question as to whether the genuine, authentic, and organic nature of LinkedIn will be impacted.

Are Hashtags Still Relevant?

Hashtags have been known to help expand reach, align conversation topics, and improve discovery. While hashtags were at one point an essential component of a social media strategy, their importance and relevance continues to decline. How does each platform categorize hashtags? Instagram recently removed the option to follow hashtags. Twitter/X discourages users from using hashtags. LinkedIn still supports hashtags. And Threads recommends users add topic tags. Overall hashtags still serve a purpose in community building and connecting with the right audience.

Instagram Launches Trial Reels

Instagram is rolling out the ability to post Reels with users who are not your followers. If you select the “Trial” option when posting your Reel, it will be shown to a selection of users who don’t follow your profile. Within 24 hours, you will have the ability to view key metrics to determine how your Reel is performing. Instagram’s goal is to help users maximize content performance by testing it first.
